New N&J and Others

In the past week, Swedish Match has announced three new snus (five if you count original and white versions) other that that US one we don’t know the name of yet. Only one will be available in the US. It’s a new Nick and Johnny.

It’s a 15/mg of nicotine mint monster.
Then there’s a Marlboro in [...]

Snus Rumor Confirmed

Last September, my Swedish Match Rep said something was coming out this summer for brick and mortars.
Well, it looks like he was telling the truth. I got a cryptic email saying that on May 2 a new snus will be released in Portland, Boise and Pittsburgh. I assume these are test markets. It also said [...]

Mini Stars

Swedish Match mini portions are getting stars:

Along with General White, Tre Ankare, Göteborgs Rapé, Onico and the Catch Collection will get all starred up.
Also, the tins look a little different, I think. Maybe more rounded at the edges. It’s tough to tell. I haven’t held a mini snus tin in my hand since third grade.

Euro Snusers Shat On

As of right now, Euro snusers can’t get snus from Sweden. I don’t know what the story is. Seems like no one does, and I’m not going to hypothesize. Instead, I’ll say that if it stays that way, the EU should be dissolved for being a bunch of fucktards. If not, I have no public [...]

Waco and Back Again

Yesterday, my friend and I drove to Waco  to visit the Dr. Pepper museum. It’s worth a stop if you ever happen to be driving by, but it’s not really worth traveling any distance to (like I did). The museum had neat old cans. Some old swag. Old machines.
After trying the nasty hot Dr Pepper [...]

Da Meedya

The Washington Post is probably one of the top 5 papers in the US. That’s kind of like saying Camel Snus is probably the best Snus in the US… Anyway, today I ran across this article about smokeless tobacco and baseball. In it, the Post says:
Last fall, Tony Gwynn - his college coach at San [...]

The Value of Snus

Often, meetings can take longer than you expect. Especially at my job. When a manager says “stop by when you get a chance,” it could be 30 seconds or an hour. Everybody, it seems, loves to talk on and on — despite that (or perhaps because) their message is simple. Even something as innocuous as [...]

Kardus 2010

I think I said it last year, but before I had Kardus 2009, I figured this snus was for people who hate money. Turns out, it’s actually really tasty. From this point on, I won’t bring up anything about how much it costs or my cheap ass will be stuck on that topic for the [...]

Ephermeris: What Is It?

A few months ago, I got kind of an email from a guy who was starting a tobacco magazine. He wanted me to contribute something for the first issue. So I wrote “Snus Needs Supermodels.”
The magazine is called The Snuff Taker’s Ephemeris. I don’t know what the last word means either, but it sounds like [...]

Snus Does Not Give You Superpowers

Last night, I was taking a nap on the couch when my wife burst in.
“You didn’t answer your phone,” she tells me.
Confused, I state the obvious: “I was sleeping.”
“Your car wouldn’t start, so I had to walk home from the grocery store.”
She had no groceries, but I didn’t dare ask about them.
I wipe the drool [...]
