Now They Want the Shirt off Your Back… New FDA Tobacco Rules

This is pretty shitty… the FDA just came out with some new rules… As of June 22, 2010, you can kiss your swag goodbye…

Among other things the rules:

Prohibit tobacco brand name sponsorship of any athletic, musical, or other social or cultural event, or any team or entry in those events.
Prohibit gifts or other items in exchange for buying cigarettes or smokeless tobacco products.
Prohibit the sale or distribution of items, such as hats and tee shirts, with tobacco brands or logos.

FDA summary with link to full text of rules.

No more Marlboro Country hats? No more Rocky Patel Hawaiian shirts?? No more General cufflinks???

I guess now there’s no reason to use tobacco anymore…

I quit.

Wow!! WTF!!!! would be like to see the Gov. go after the booze industry as much they do the Snus and Cigars.

Creeping socialism my friends. The progressives now running the country know what’s best for you! You will either go quietly or they will legislate or tax you until you comply. Just wait until we have socialized medicine! EVERYTHING will be come under the microscope if they can find any correlation to ‘health’!

Wake up America! The time to save our republic is running short.

Sa wait, Pa’s (state i live in) taxes on Snus aren’t going up?
Weird seeing as PACT is a Pennsylvanian org.
What will change as far as online orders……because i don’t want to be stuck with JUSt camel snus.
