New York City Council Votes to Ban Flavored Tobacco

Wow. All flavored tobacco products look like they are going to be banned in New York City. The list of legal flavors will now only include: tobacco, menthol, mint, and wintergreen. The council is expanding the FDA ban to non-covered products like cigars and smokeless tobacco.

The mayor is expected to sign the bill.

This is ridiculous. Even though I don’t smoke, I still considering this messing with our basic freedoms.

I agree. Also, doesn’t it seems like the mint lobby in this country is really powerful?
