New General Snus Leaked via Instagram
I rarely look at my Instagram feed, but on election day I didn’t want to look at all you politickers on the Facebook and the Twitter. So I popped open Instagram instead. Here’s what I saw, posted several hours ago by Swedish Match:
I’m no Swedish linguist, but that looks like it says, “Welcome to the family.” Feel free to viciously attack me in the comment section if I’m wrong.
This looks like the top of a snus pack. Maybe it’s a coaster.
But the big question remaining is: What kind of mint?
We’ll probably know soon, but I imagine that it is not a clone of the US General Mint, as this new snus is supposed to be mint plus bergamot.
I was still hoping for General Hummus… maybe that’s next.

Too bad. Someone at SM hinted it would be mint in September but I didn’t want to believe it. Congratulations to RJRT: in 7 years, you’ve corrupted the centuries old General snus flavor profile in Sweden itself.
As for the bergamot, you can slap lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig. This is General Mint waving a Swedish flag.
At least there are no lying FDA warnings on the can lid.

mhm, looks like it will be a pretty clean mint with no twist judging from the style. I cant wait!

It’s hard to get very excited about another mint snus, but it could be interesting…

The picture is of the catch lid on top of the can; you can see the divot in the top left corner where your finger is supposed to slide under to pop it off. MEH, MORE MINT. MEH
