General Dry Mini Mint

Review: The final sample from my General sample pack, General Dry Mini Mint is a lot smaller than any of the other snus I’ve talked about so far. It’s got about half the snus and half the nicotine content of regular sized snus, so it’s a little weak and super-stealthy, making it perfect for people with very smallĀ  lips/mouths/faces, like women and bunnies.

If I recall correctly, the first snus I ever tried back in 2002 was a mini licorice flavored snus (not sure of the brand, but seems likely it was Catch), given to me by a girl named Sandra, I think. She was actually very tall and didn’t have very small lips/mouth/face, so as you can see it works for anyone, really.

This is a rebranding of Catch Peppermint. Don’t know why they rebranded, but I assume it’s just for American consumption so that all those rare refrigerators have the name brand name snus in them. [Note to self: Call General and ask why. I'm sure I'm right...]

Catch comes in all sorts of strange flavors other than mint and licorice, including mint vanilla, cassis (blackcurrant), and eucalyptus (snus for grandma). They’re all fairly interesting — I’ll go into detail sometime in the future — but peppermint, or General Dry Mini Mint, is the best. It’s sweet without being too sweet, and the peppermint flavor is not overwhelming. The tobacco flavor is super-mild, but it’s still there.

Suggested Use Time:
Even after an hour, it was still minty and sweet.

Dominant Flavors:

Peppermint, Sugar

The Prognosis:
Very nice little snus. I would like to see a full-size version of this, but for people who like the smaller size it is excellent.

Buzz Factor:
Mild

Dr. Snus Rating:
++++ (Excellent)
