Burning Snus

I tried to light snus on fire today. I had my video camera set up and everything for what was going to be an amazing discovery…well kind of.

My hypothesis was that Camel Mellow would burn like an old Christmas tree and General Mini Mint would not burn.

Not exactly a wild guess. Camel snus is so dry, I figured it would really burn.

Instead, neither burned once the little paper ends gave way, although the Camel snus did smoulder a little. It also smelled like burnt sugar, but that’s not really surprising since it already smells like that. The mini was more fire resistant, so my guess was right. However, the tiny bit of smoke it produced was certainly not worthy of a video.
